About Zig Zag Carpet Cleaning
Zig Zag Carpet Cleaning started in 2012 as a small, family-run operation, and fourteen years later it's still run the same way. Arthur, the owner, still takes most calls personally and is on site for a large share of the jobs himself, rather than the business being handed off to a rotating team of subcontractors.
How the business runs
Being family-owned means decisions get made quickly. If a customer calls with an urgent job, we don't need to check with a head office or wait on approval, we just work out whether we can fit it in and go from there. It also means the person you speak to on the phone is genuinely invested in how the job turns out, not reading from a script.
Training and qualifications
Cleaning carpet, rugs and upholstery properly means understanding fibre types, dye stability and the right method for each material, since getting it wrong can do real damage. Zig Zag's technicians are trained and certified through ACRA, IICRC and ITI, which are the main industry bodies covering carpet and fabric cleaning standards in Australia. This training is also why we're upfront when something won't come out, rather than guessing and hoping for the best.
What we've grown into
The business started with carpet cleaning and has expanded over the years into upholstery, rugs, tile and grout, and pressure cleaning for driveways and outdoor areas, largely because customers kept asking whether we could also handle the couch, the rug, or the grubby bathroom tiles while we were already on site. Each of those services now stands on its own, but they all come from the same approach: look at the job properly before deciding how to clean it. We're also adding new services as the business grows, so it's worth checking back if you don't see what you need listed yet.
Where we work
We service Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills and the Barossa, working with homeowners, tenants, property managers and businesses across the region. Whether it's a single room or a full commercial property, the same care goes into assessing the job before any cleaning starts.
